Experienced Diesel Mechanic

Privateer Labour are seeking a skilled and experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our team. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing maintenance, repairs, and servicing on diesel-powered vehicles, heavy equipment, and machinery.

Key Responsibilities:
• Perform routine maintenance, diagnostic testing, and repairs on diesel engines, hydraulic systems, transmissions, and other related equipment
• Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and electrical issues with equipment and machinery
• Disassemble, repair, and reassemble components and parts as necessary
• Use diagnostic tools and software to identify and resolve issues
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and requirements
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs performed
• Communicate effectively with other team members, supervisors, and clients

Qualifications and Experience:
• Minimum of three years of experience working as a Diesel Mechanic
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and transmissions
• Familiarity with diagnostic tools and software
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
• Experience working with heavy equipment and machinery
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Education and Certification:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Certification in diesel mechanics or a related field preferred

Work Conditions and Requirements:
• Full-time position with a minimum of 38 hours per week
• Overtime may be required as needed
• Must be willing to work in a variety of environments, including outdoors and in a workshop setting
• Must be physically capable of performing the duties of the position, including lifting heavy equipment and machinery

Salary and Benefits
• $65,000 – $110,000
• Work vehicle and AH vehicle access
• Lodging facilities to live onsite

• Possess a valid Australian work visa or be eligible for sponsorship under the Temporary Skill Shortage (TSS) visa (subclass 482)
